WWE/Indie News: Tye Dillinger set to face Impact Wrestling star in his first match back
What's the story?
Following his departure from WWE last month, former NXT sensation Tye Dillinger is all set to make an impact on the Independent Circuit, as his first post-WWE match has now been confirmed and it is against a very familiar face.
In case you didn't know...
Tye Dillinger was initially signed with WWE in 2006 and was assigned under the company's developmental brand of OVW. However, his first run with the company turned out to be rather disappointing and 'The Perfect 10' made a return in 2013.
During his second run, Dillinger established himself as one of the most over and popular stars' in NXT history, portraying 'The Perfect 10' gimmick very well. But, his run on the main roster was rather bland and ended in disappointment.
Dillinger was eventually released from the WWE on the 22nd of February, 2019.
The heart of the matter
Tye Dillinger is once again back on the Indie scene and is all set to make a name for himself, following his departure from WWE. And for his first opponent back on the Independent Circuit, Dillinger - or rather I say, Shawn Spears - will be facing off against top Impact Wrestling star Moose.
Dillinger has been out on the sidelines due to an injury since last year and was expected to make his return to WWE TV by 2019. However, that never happened and instead 'The Perfect 10' had a few Live Event matches against the likes of EC3.
Having announced that he will be able to take bookings after May 31st, Dillinger has now been booked by Atomic Revolutionary Wrestling for his first Indie appearance.
What's next?
Shawn Spears will make his return to Professional Wrestling on 14th June in Cocoa, Florida for Atomic Rev Wrestling and his first match back on the Indies definitely promises to be a great one, given that he is stepping into the ring with a former Impact Grand Champion.
