WWE: Is Ziggler-Ambrose feud a good move?

Almost two years ago, Zack Ryder, in one of the greatest underdog stories ever, got a chance at the US title at the final pay per view of the year – Tables, Ladders and Chairs.

He won the title from Dolph Ziggler. Of course, that was the best thing to happen to Ryder since and Ziggler moved on to do better things.

At least Ziggler’s career trajectory has been better than Ryder. He hasn’t been buried as much. But after two years of being the number one contender for the WWE championship, Money in the Bank winner, Number One contender for the World Heavyweight title and eventually a World Champion, Ziggler is back to the US title.

But he has been going against a very promising youngster, a guy who can very well become the next greatest heel. Dean Ambrose has been no joke. Facing Ziggler can only be instrumental in shaping his discipline.

These two have had a handful of matches one on one. Three to be precise, and all three have been a treat to watch. But the one this week on RAW has been by far their best, given that Ziggler finally won a match after reportedly getting backstage heat for an interview he did during the Summerslam build up.

But how valuable is this feud in the long run? Is it a good move to continue this feud? How will this affect both Ziggler and Dean Ambrose?

Storyline wise, this feud has so far not registered anything interesting as the feud began through a few matches regarding interferences and in-ring trash talk, but apart from that, it is only continuing through another set of matches.

Ziggler’s talking skills have improved leaps and bounds since his advent as a singles competitor in the WWE. He can talk. He talks as fast as he moves in the ring.

Dean Ambrose’s promo skills are so well known, at least to the hardcore fans. He can carry a match just by talking strange in the ring. It’s worth the wait to see him in his psychotic element. So this feud can definitely offer a lot as far as longevity is concerned. As both these stars are widely considered to be the most talented future stars of the company, it seems to be a good move to continue this feud.

Now, moving on to Ziggler and Ambrose and their career trajectories. Ziggler has and can do better as far as the level of the card is concerned.

Dean Ambrose has just started his promising WWE career. But both of them are involved in the hottest and the biggest storyline going on in the WWE.

Ambrose, as part of the Shield, does the dirty work for the Authority and Ziggler is suffering from the authority’s ire.

They are relevant characters who can play a huge role as far as power dynamics of the authority goes. So even if it is the US title, the bone of contention between the two is more than that. And that makes this feud worthwhile for both Ambrose and Ziggler.

Here’s hoping that all this builds up to something awesome for both Ambrose and mostly Ziggler!
