WWE News: Jim Ross blogs about Jerry Lawler being reinstated and Roman Reigns' suspension
In his latest blog at JRsBarBQ.com, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross discussed the upcoming brand split, Roman’s suspension, the Lawler-arrest incident, Lesnar’s UFC return and a few other topics.
On June 17, Lawler was accused in a domestic violence issue, also involving his girlfriend. WWE clearly stated that there is zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and Jerry Lawler was suspended indefinitely following his arrest.
With the charges being dropped after, WWE lifted the ban. Ross, who has been a long-time friend of Lawler had his say on the issue :
"Happy that Jerry Lawler has been reinstated by WWE and I look forward to seeing Jerry back on WWE TV at some point in the future. I knew all along in my heart that The King was not a domestic violence participant and that alcohol was the culprit in this unfortunate and embarrassing matter."
As mentioned by wrestlinginc.com, Jim Ross also brushed aside the rumours that hinted towards some other reasons behind Roman’s suspension:
"Lots of 'Oliver Stone' conspiracy theorists who are hellbent on becoming amateur sleuths as it relates to uncovering the details of Roman Reigns 30 day suspension for violating the WWE Wellness Policy.
If the old adage of 'Telephone, Telegraph, Tell a Wrestler' still holds true, then details that some are 'Jonesing' for will be revealed in due time, even if there is no story to be told."
