John Cena suffers injury at WWE Live event - details and video
John Cena is going through a phase in which he is suffering one injury after another. It seems that the most recent being at the WWE live event in Hampton and it seems Seth Rollins is partly to be blamed.
Cena was in a street fight match against Kevin Owens, when Cena went down and the referee stopped the match mid way by waving the ‘X’ symbol. From reports coming in from the event, Cena was apparently having problems with his nose or neck. It was most likely the nose that was busted by Seth Rollins. The injury happened because of a infrared sunset flip attempted by Cena which resulted in him landing on his head.
Although WWE trainers came out to check on Cena, he continued with the match for another 6 to 7 minutes and even took a table bump. As usual Cena, in spite of his woes and pain, came out on the winning side against Owens. Although at first it wasn’t sure whether the injury was legitimate or not, Cena was seen hurting post match.
Cena is known to get involved with the crowd post-match, but in this case he went straight backstage and didn’t even stop to point at the crowd. Seth Rollins really busted Cena’s nose bad last month, which obviously is still giving him loads of problems.
Cena competing in Street Fight matches with risky offense adds to the overall risk of WWE’s franchise player being prone to getting hurt. We hope this doesn’t hamper the plans for Night Of Champions and that Seth doesn’t end up breaking something else of Cena in their impending US title match.
In the video posted by the fan it can be seen clearly that Cena landed awkwardly on his head, which may have aggrevated his broken nose or a possible neck injury. Below is the video of the possible move that might have caused the injury posted by a fan attending the event:
John Cena day in and day out shows his toughness by continuing matches even though he gets hurt, which is the testament of his passion and resolve. You might hate Cena for his character but you cannot hate his toughness and the man he is.
