WWE Smackdown results - June 13, 2014
WWE Smackdown hit the Syfy network as the taped show at Green Bay, Wisconsin, was broadcasted on Friday night. Featuring for the main event was a Money In The Bank Ladder qualification match between Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt while Antonio Cesaro was up against US champion Sheamus.
With the upcoming MITB pay-per-view at Boston, we take a look at the results from last night’s action.
One of Shield’s members gets a chance to qualify for Ladder match
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose came out as things kicked off in Green Bay. Reigns promised to take out Triple H and end Seth Rollins for good. He did not leave out the final member of Evolution, Randy Orton, as he promised to beat The Viper possibly at MITB for the World Heavyweight title. Triple H entered on the Titantron to interrupt the Hounds of Justice as he mentioned the vacant spots for the Ladder match before flipping a coin to see which one of the two would get a chance to qualify for the upcoming PPV. The toss favoured Ambrose as he got the opportunity to face Bray Wyatt in a qualification match whereas Reigns was put into immediate action against Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett.
Roman Reigns vs Bad News Barrett
The match was interrupted by 3MB who were destroyed by an out-of-control Roman Reigns. Even without Ambrose banned from ringside, Reigns and Barrett were fighting out an explosive encounter before 3MB felt the wrath of the hound. After the referee was forced to call for the bell, there was devastation at ringside as Reigns put Jinder Mahal through the announcers table before delivering a Spear to Drew McIntyre. He then turned his attention towards Heath Slater who received another Spear in mid-air to finish off the triple intrusion.
Winner: Roman Reigns via DQ
Eric Rowan vs Jey Uso
After Jimmy Uso defeated Luke Harper on WWE Main Event, Eric Rowan and Jimmy’s brother Jey were in action as the feud between the tag team champions and the Wyatts is taking a good shape before the MITB PPV. Rowan hit a powerful side slam to claim a strong victory over Jey as The Wyatt’s gained the upper hand heading into next week’s Raw.
Winner: Eric Rowan
Bo Dallas vs R-Truth
Bo Dallas extended his winning streak to 7 after he defeated R-Truth in a singles match with a running Bo-Dog to the rapping superstar. Before the match began, both the competitors jammed up in a rapping entrance.
