WWE keen on reuniting The Shield to take on Lesnar?

Lesnar returned this past week on Raw and challenged Rollins for the WWE gold at Battleground

It was recently reported that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins may be turning babyface to feud with Triple H at Summerslam. As of now that’s the most likely path for Rollins to tread, but it’s worth noting that at one point the WWE officials discussed about the possibility of a Shield reunion, wherein Rollins would reunite with his former teammates to turn on Triple H. Had the officials gone ahead with the story, then we would have seen the vigilante group reunite for the summer and into the fall with them turning on Kane and then destroying Triple H. This would have led to Triple H “reinstating” Brock Lesnar to feud with Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose as The Shield.

But Lesnar’s return this past week on Raw definitely changes things. Lesnar was brought back by Triple H on this week’s RAW and with that, talk of the reunion has died down so now we can expect to see a Rollins vs. Triple H singles showdown coming soon possibly at Summerslam. Speaking of Lesnar, The Beast Incarnate has challenged Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in Battleground and is slated to face the Champion in the PPV. However it is yet to be known where Lesnar will fit in the scheme of things post his match with Rollins at Battleground.
