Kelly Kelly talks return and current Divas, Russo takes nasty bump from TNA star's RKO
- Former WWE Divas champion Kelly Kelly since leaving the WWE has been quite active otherwise and in the news regarding her activities post-WWE. In a recent interview, she talks about the current Divas champion Charlotte and also on a return. Below are the highlights:
On who she would like to face the most from the current array of Divas
Kelly finds it amusing that the current crop of Divas are the same as when she was in the WWE and the only intriguing option is Paige. “It’s funny because I feel like all the girls who are there now I’ve worked with. The [Bella] Twins are still there, Natalya’s still there, Alicia Fox is still there, Rosa Mendes is still there, all these girls – there’s not many new ones. Maybe Paige. When I left she came in so I think she’d be someone I’d like to work with for sure,” says Kelly.
On the Divas Champion Charlotte
Kelly gives Charlotte props for her athletic ability and credits her for her decision in following her legendary father’s path. She says, “I think Charlotte’s great. I think she’s a wonderful gymnast and had that same athletic background I had with gymnastics, and following in her father’s footsteps is great. I’m so happy and proud of her. I think she really deserves it and she’s been working so hard. I think it’s awesome.”
- The reason behind WWE’s resurgence back in the Attitude Era and a big fixture in the Creative team of TNA, Vince Russo is no longer in the bigger promotions but is an active figure in smaller promotions where he is sharing his expertise.
He made an appearance at he “International Pro Wrestling: Uk” events held in Swanley and teamed up with Mr. Puppet, The London Riots and IPW: UK Champion Jimmy Havoc. He ended up on the losing side in an elimination match against TNA star Grado, Scott Star, Daniel Edler and IPW: UK Tag Team Champions D&D. He was the last guy remaining when he was on the receiving end of a weirdly executed RKO from Grado.
It did not end there as after the match Grado picked Russo up for a dance and hit him with another RKO. Below is the Gif:
