Kevin Owens names his ideal WrestleMania competitor, and more
Current WWE Intercontinental Champion, Kevin Owens, in a recent interview with Like Father, Like Son podcast, revealed his ideal WresleMania competitor and his thoughts regarding his son being a massive John Cena fan
On the topic of his WresleMania competitor, Owens was to face one, and only one man – Brock Lesnar, and stated: "I've answered this question a couple of times and my answer is always Brock Lesnar, because I'd just love to be in the ring with him and see what it's like.
“There's nobody quite like Brock Lesnar, as far as pure strength and viciousness and everything. I'd love to see if I could hang with him and see how much I could hurt him. I'd love to get in the ring with The Undertaker one day, too. I feel like that's a long shot, I guess, because he wrestles on a limited basis and when he does, it's always a huge deal,” Owens said.
He added, “But, hopefully I can position myself in the next year or so to be seen as a viable opponent for the Undertaker, because it would be a thrill to be in the ring with him at WrestleMania or anywhere. It can be on a Raw or a live event, I don't really care. I'd just love to be in the ring with him. I feel like that would be an experience I'd never forget."
When it comes to his son’s support of John Cena, Owens says: "I think he was pretty split honestly. He's always been a big John Cena fan, but all of a sudden he's against his dad.”
The lack of support from his son won’t make Owen happy, considering that he was involved in a major feud with Cena and even stamped the latter’s Unites States belt in a show of defiance. However, Owens could never triumph over Cena and lost the United States Championship to the latter, which also ended their feud.
Kevin Owens, whose real name is Kevin Steen, began his career with Combat Zone Wrestling before becoming a star.
The 31-year-old, who is of French-Canadian ancestry, has a long connection to WWE, and besides learning to speak English from watching the franchises promos as a boy (His mother tongue is French) also developed an ambition of becoming a wrestler after watching a WrestleMania XI tape with his dad.
