Kurt Angle says he is not retiring from wrestling
– Kurt Angle is considered as one of the finest wrestlers ever. The Olympic gold medalist had an amazing career in the WWE and then in TNA. It was reported a few months back that Angle might be on his way towards retirement after suffering many injuries. WWE fans would love to see Angle in the ring one last time and they could get what they want.
Kurt Angle has refuted claims that he is retiring. He spoke with ESPN UK and had interesting things to say about retirement and injuries. He said that he is going to take a long break from wrestling to think and come back stronger.
"I'm gonna take a break from [professional] wrestling, I know that for sure, at least a year. So we'll see how it goes and I'll go from there. I'm not gonna say I'm gonna retire. I am pretty much done with TNA. Not sure, maybe down the road, maybe I might come back, but most likely I probably won't, because there's a chance that I might not wrestle again. I just wanna get a feeler this year and see what I wanna do and see where I wanna go."
When asked about his health he said that he feels these injuries now and knows that it takes longer to recuperate at 47 years old but also acknowledges the fact that he can still put out 5 star matches.
Concussions are a major topic in the WWE recently, when asked about this he revealed that he suffered a concussion against Triple H in 2000 during Summerslam. He said that he went blank after the concussion and Triple H had to carry him through the whole match.
