WWE legend Ric Flair to induct Sting into the Hall of Fame

The Insane Icon

WWE is always abuzz during WrestleMania season. This year’s WrestleMania is going to be the biggest of all with a huge crowd of 100,000 expected at the AT&T Center in Dallas Texas.

Sting has been rightly called as “the Icon” in the WWE with his exploits in the wrestling business highly auspicious. Sting was the heart and soul of the WCW and later TNA, after WCW was dissolved.

It was announced last month that Sting would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. The ceremony takes place the night before WrestleMania and the inductor is none other than Ric Flair.

Sting and Flair in WCW

Sting and Ric Flair have had a great rivalry since their WCW days and ‘Naitch’ would be the perfect person to induct a great wrestler such as Sting. There is a huge doubt whether Sting will perform after this or not as he is out with a neck injury, but a Hall of Fame induction most likely means that he will not.

Others announced for Hall of Fame this year include The Godfather who will be inducted by Ron Simmons and JBL, and The Fabulous Freebirds.
