WWE Legends offer support to Tyson Kidd, WWE Tapout launch, Dana Brook Update
As noted last week, Kidd may be suffering from a spinal cord injury, essentially a broken neck. The injury came in the recent Raw dark match against Samoa Joe. WWE on the other hand has been very quiet about the injury, but since the concussion lawsuits, they did acknowledge that Kidd is injured, but are yet to provide any injury details. According to The Wrestling Observer, the impression given is that Kidd’s injury is serious. It was previously believed that Kidd might not need surgery, but now there is talk that he might be going in for surgery for what appears to be a spinal cord injury, which would mean a lengthy amount of time away from the ring.
WWE Hall of Famers Steve Austin and Edge, who also have a history of similar neck injuries, reportedly reached out to Tyson Kidd to offer their support and advice.
Earlier in the year it was reported that WWE had formed a joint venture with Authentic Brand Group in which the companies will partner to relaunch the Tapout clothing brand that was formerly closely associated with UFC and mixed martial arts fighting.Tapout will now be repositioned as a broader lifestyle fitness brand, with the company also set to serve as the official fitness and training partner of WWE. WWE is planning a major launch of the brand in WWE TV in January 2016, which will see the brand being integrated across WWE’s various platforms, from its TV shows and pay-per-view events to series that stream on its WWE Network, as well as live events and social media.
WWE NXT Diva Dana Brooke competed in the Arnold Classic Brazil on May 30th. She was placed 7th out of 8 fitness competitors.
