WWE Live Event: Birmingham (10/05/2017)

Kevin Owens defended the US Championship against Sami Zayn

The latest WWE live event, hosted in Birmingham, featured the superstars of the blue brand. The fans in attendance witnessed nine matches which included three Championship defences. WWE United Kingdom Champion, Tyler Bate, and several other participants of the UK tournament were part of the show. 

The results of the event are provided below: 

#1 Shinsuke Nakamura vs Dolph Ziggler

An electric crowd welcomed ‘The King of Strong Style’ Shinsuke Nakamura when he made his entrance, while there were pops for Dolph Ziggler as well. In a slow paced match, a Kinshasa to Ziggler, helped Nakamura to get the three count over the former World Champion.

Result: Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Dolph Ziggler

#2 Tye Dillinger and Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) vs Aiden English and The Ascension (Konor and Viktor)

The Ascension had the upper hand in the early stages of the match but soon the momentum shifted towards Dillinger and Breezango. In the end, Tyler Breeze pinned Viktor to pick up the win for his team. 

Result: Breezango and Tye Dillinger defeated The Ascension and Aiden English

#3 Luke Harper vs Erick Rowan

The match was short, yet Harper and Rowan delivered an entertaining contest. The former Wyatt Family members wrestled back-and-forth until the Discus Clothesline from Harper allowed him to get the pinfall over Rowan. 

Result: Luke Harper defeated Erick Rowan

#4 Naomi, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch vs The Welcoming Committee (Natalya, Carmella and Tamina) 

Lynch, Flair and Naomi were greeted with huge pops. At one point in the match, James Ellsworth was sent backstage for his continuous attempts to interfere. In the end, Naomi pinned Carmella following the Rear View and earned the victory for her team. 

Result: Charlotte Flair, Naomi and Becky Lynch defeated The Welcoming Committee
