WWE Live Event results: Lowell (10/12/2016)

Reigns defended the US title against Owens

The recent RAW exclusive live event took place in Lowell, Massachuttes in front of a packed audience. The show was headlined by a United States Championship match between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens, who denied to put his Universal Championship on the line. There were seven matches in total, the results of which, are provided below: 


#1 The New Day(c) vs Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows vs Cesaro and Sheamus vs Big Cass and Enzo Amore [Fatal 4 way match for the RAW Tag team Championship]

Except for The Club, all the other teams were greeted with amazing pops. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods defended the Tag titles of The New Day, while Big E was at ringside. This was a pretty solid match to kick off the show. Despite the back and forth action between the tag teams, this match also provided some comic relief to the audience.

In the end, Xavier and Kofi delivered the Midnight Hour on Gallows to pick up the victory. 

Result: The New Day defeated Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Sheamus and Cesaro, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows to retain the RAW Tag team Championship


#2 Jinder Mahal vs Neville

The match was short, yet decent. Some fans in attendance noted that Mahal’s in-ring work was impressive as he wrestled ‘the man that gravity forgot’. The Red Arrow on Mahal helped Neville to pick up the win. 

Result: Neville defeated Jinder Mahal


#3 Darren Young (with Bob Backlund) and Sin Cara vs The Shining Stars (Epico and Primo)

The fans were in full support of the babyface team in this contest. The match was average, but the return and appearance of WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund at ringside made it more entertaining. 

Result: Sin Cara and Darren Young defeated The Shining Stars


#4 Rusev (with Lana) vs Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins came out to one of the best pops of the night, while Rusev received a lot of boos.

The crowd was vocal throughout the match, supporting the former World Champion. The brawl between Rusev and Rollins turned out to be one of the best matches of the entire event. Despite multiple interferences from Lana, Rollins was successful in pinning Rusev following the Pedigree.

Result: Seth Rollins defeated Rusev
