WWE Live Event results - Minehead, 5th November 2016.
WWE continued its overseas fall tour of the United Kingdom this week. WWE Live and the Monday Night RAW roster arrived in Minehead, England on the 5th for their next live event. The show was headlined by a Street Fight featuring Kevin Owens defending his WWE Universal Championship against Seth Rollins. There were three Championship matches on the card, the others being a match for the WWE United States Championship and a RAW Tag Team Championship match.
The show started off, with RAW ring announcer JoJo revealing that a WWE Network exclusive clip would be shown later in the show by the process of an online vote. The poll was won by Swerved and a clip from the second season of the show was shown to the live crowd. WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens then made an appearance on the titantron to announce that he will be defending his title in the main event in a Street Fight.
The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) vs Cesaro and Sheamus vs Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows ( RAW Tag Team Championship match)
In the opening bout, The New Day defended their RAW Tag Team Champions in a four-way match against the teams of Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Cesaro and Sheamus and The Club. The New Day were their usual funny selves and mesmerized the crowd with their antics with Xavier Woods accompanying Kingston and Big E to the ring. Cesaro, Enzo Amore and Big Cass were reportedly ‘super over’ with the folks from Minehead. The New Day picked up the pinfall victory when they performed their finisher The Midnight Hour on Karl Anderson.

Sin Cara vs Curtis Axel.
In the next match, Sin Cara faced off against Curtis Axel. In the opening moments of the match, Curtis Axel offered a handshake to Sin Cara, to no avail. Axel proceeded to blindside Cara, using the referee as a distraction. Sin Cara was able to get the pinfall victory after a Swanton Bomb. There were said to be a lot of ‘Lucha’ chants directed towards Sin Cara during the match.

Goldust, R-Truth and Darren Young vs Titus O’Neill and Shining Stars (Epico and Primo)
The third match on the card saw the team of Goldust, R-Truth and Darren Young compete against The Shining Stars and Titus O'Neil. This was said to be a fun match with a lot of comedic spots. At one moment in the match, one-half of the Shining Stars, Primo attacked Little Jimmy, infuriating R-Truth in the process.Truth managed to gain the pinfall win for the babyface team.

Sami Zayn vs Chris Jericho
In the next match, Sami Zayn faced Chris Jericho. Jericho received massive heat when he started dissing the Minehead crowd, deeming them unworthy of being on ‘The List of Jericho’. The crowd erupted into laughter when Zayn started to play with Jericho’s scarf. Jericho also hit Zayn with a few cheap shots and played the role of a villain flawlessly. The finish of the match saw Zayn hitting Jericho with the Blue Thunder Bomb to secure a victory.

Roman Reigns vs Rusev (WWE United States Championship match)
Roman Reigns defended his WWE United Championship against Rusev, who was accompanied by his wife Lana, in the next match. The crowd was entirely pro-Reigns, as he received a tremendous ovation. Reigns won the match, courtesy of a Spear. The Ravishing Russian was ejected from the ringside area for interference. WWE referee John Cone performed a cartwheel to mock Lana.
