WWE Live Event results State College Pennsylvania 25th September 2016
SmackDown held a Live Event at State College, Pennsylvania this Sunday which included a WWE Wolrd Heavyweight Championship match as well as a rare Fatal Four way tag team match.
To avoid competition with the scheduled Clash Of Champions PPV at the same date, the show was turned into a matinee show, unlike the regular Live Events which are held in the evening time. Thanks to wrestlinginc, below are the complete results of the latest SmackDown Live Event:
Former world heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler faced current WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz in a non-title match. Ziggler went over and pinned the A-lister for the win.
The newest member of the SmackDown roster Jack Swagger squared off against the Lone Wolf Baron Corbin. the match ended in a disqualification giving Swagger the victory.
The newly crowned SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno competed in a rare Tag Team Fatal Four-way match against The Usos (Jimmy & Jay), American Alpha ( Jason Jordan & Chad Gable ) and Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango).
The SmackDown tag team champions won the match.
NXT veteran Apollo Crews faced the former Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan. The match ended in a disqualification when the Eater of The Worlds Bray Wyatt interfered and started beating Crews. Afterward, the Big Red Monster Kane entered the arena to make the save and sent the heels in retrick.
The inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch teamed up with former WWE Diva's Champion Nikki Bella and Naomi to face the team of Natalya, Carmella and Alexa Bliss. The faces picked up the victory in the only women's match of the show.
The newly crowned WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles defended his title against both The Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose and The Franchise Player John Cena in a triple threat match.
The New Face that Runs the Place retained his title and defeated both of his opponents. Interestingly we will also get to see the same match on WWE TV at the upcoming No Mercy PPV.
