WWE Live Event results from Tallahassee - July 19, 2014
On the night before the Battleground PPV in Tampa, Florida, WWE’s Live Event show occurred in Tallahassee to give a final shape to the Sunday event.
The roster included WWE world Champion Sheamus John Cena in Street Fight action while Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose teamed up against Seth Rollins and Kane.
Here are the results from Saturday’s house show.
- US champion Sheamus won against Cesaro with a Brogue Kick.
- Damien Sandow came out dressed as beach-goer as he mocked the Florida crowd. Dolph entered to interrupt and beat with the Fameasser in a singles match.
- Sandow wasn’t ready to leave until he won. Adam Rose came out with the Rosebuds and beat him.
- Lana came out with Alexander Rusev and insulted the US. Zeb Colter and Swagger interrupted their segment and praised Tallahassee for being the home of Real Americans. Rusev beat Swagger via The Accolade.
- Sandow came out again for the third match as he believed this time he would get lucky. But his bad luck came in the form of The Great Khali who squashed him with a Head Chop to win the match.
- The Usos retained their Tag-Team titles after defeating Rybaxel and Eric Rowan and Luke Harper in a three-way tag-team elimination match.
- Paige, Nikki Bella and Summer Rae defeated Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes and Layla in a Divas tag-team match.
- Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose beat Seth Rollins and Kane via disqualification after Rollins used the briefcase. There was post-match assault on Reigns and Ambrose, but they overcame Rollins and Kane.
- WWE champion John Cena beat Bray Wyatt in a Street Fight to retain the WWE World Heavyweight title. Cena won with the Attitude Adjustment sending Bray through the table. A hard fought battle where both the superstars endured some rough bumps during the match.
