#1 Asuka vs. Mickie James
The show opened with Mickie James taking on the recently-debuted Asuka in a singles match. Asuka, who came onto the main roster with a lot of hype behind her from NXT, failed to impress the WWE Universe with her debut match.
However, The Empress of Tommorrow resolved to rectify her past performance at this event by swiftly taking down Mickie James. James, a veteran in the business, tried to show dominance but failed against the might of Asuka.
In the end, Asuka won the match by making James submit via the Asuka Lock.

Before the match started, The Miz cut a promo disparaging the Glaswegian crowd. Both Superstars tried their best to one-up each other, making it seem like this was anyone's match to win.
In the end, The Miz, with some help from the Miztourage, defeated Matt by pinning him after knocking him out with the Skull Crushing Finale.
