Del Rio coming back to the WWE?

- We have been reporting on WWE’s interest in bringing in a Hispanic star to cater to the large fanbase the brand has who belong to that demographic, ever since the departure of Rey Mysterio.

Carlito, former US champion, was reportedly in talks a couple of weeks back with the WWE about coming in, but nothing really has come of it. Besides Carlito, reports also indicate former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio being brought up as a name WWE is interested in bringing back.

While no details have come out of whether WWE and Alberto have had talks, there is confirmed reports of interest in bringing del Rio back, who also has been mentioned in the ideas being discussed backstage. However, with Lucha Underground confirming a second season, one has to wait and watch if the WWE – Alberto Del Rio alliance will come to fruition.

Del Rio was abruptly let gp off his contract last year after physically attacking a WWE employee backstage over a racial comment made by the person. At the time of his departure, the situation was extremely controversial as Del Rio’s actions were seen as retaliatory and justified in the eyes of many people.

- Former WWE World Heavyweight champion The Great Khali, who hasn’t been seen in the WWE for over a year now, is a well-known figure in his home country of India and has appeared in a few movies and ads.

The latest ad features the giant endorsing a reputed cement brand, in a funny TVC that has been gaining popularity due to its theme and visuals. You can check the ad below.

The Great Khali, after finishing up with the WWE, has been busy building and running his own professional wrestling school in Punjab, India while making the occasional public appearances as a celebrity. His freakish looks and intimidating demeanor means Khali wouldn’t be struggling to get ‘noticed’ anytime soon.
