WWE Main Event Results: March 28, 2013

WWE Main Event started with the United States Champion Antonio Cesaro making his way to the ring, talking about how his home country Switzerland is better that America.

Match 1: Kane defeated Antonio Cesaro in a singles match. Kane got the pin-fall victory after hitting the chokeslam on Cesaro. During the match, AJ tried to distract Kane but her attempt was foiled by Kane’s tag-team partner Daniel Bryan at ringside.

Sheamus gave a backstage interview to Matt Striker about having Big Show as his partner against the Shield at Wrestlemania.

The Funkadactyl’s Naomi and Cameron are in the ring and they announce that the team of Brodus Clay and Tensai will henceforth be called ‘Tons of Funk’. Team Rhodes Scholars came out and mocked the new name, suggesting that they instead be called ‘Tons of saturated fat’.

Match 2: The Bella Twins defeated the Funkadactyls in a divas tag-team match via pin-fall.

The Funkadactyls, along with ‘Tons of Funk’ Brodus Clay and Tensai, will face off against Team Rhodes Scholars Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow and the Bella twins at Wrestlemania 29.
