A huge announcement was made regarding Angle’s future

TNA Impact Wrestling debuted on POP TV yesterday, that marked a new begining for the troubled promotion.

The show saw a huge announcement from Kurt Angle, who made his TNA farewell tour official and also revealed that he would be choosing his own opponents and matches. Drew Galloway (Drew Mcintyre) was his first pick, who he would be facing in Impact Wrestling episode’s main event which is to air on Tuesday.

He would be making his in-ring return in a Triple Threat match this Friday though, and team up with Drew Galloway to go up against The Wolves and the team of Eli Drake & Jesse Godderz.

The match would be featured on the Impact Wrestling’s “One Night Only: Live! card – which is TNA’s first pay-per-view offering on POP TV.

The pay-per-view would also see the return of James Storm – who for a brief period teased a WWE stint – reprising the team of Beer Money alongside Bobby Roode. They would be up against the team of Bram and Eric Young.

Last night’s TV tapings also saw the promotion crowning the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion in Ethan Carter III and the Impact Wrestling debut of former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis.

She debuted alongside her real-life love interest – former ROH star Mark Bennett – in a gimmick called ‘The Miracle’.
