WWE/MMA News: Top UFC Champion praises Chad Gable for his performance at Clash of Champions
What's the story?
Current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier earlier today, took it to Twitter and decided to praise Smackdown Live's Chad Gable for his splendid performance during the Clash of the Champions pay-per-view.
In case you didn't know...
During this week's Clash of Champions pay-per-view, former Smackdown Live Tag Team Champion Chad Gable was in action in a fatal four-way tag team match where he teamed up with his tag partner Shelton Benjamin. The match also featured the teams of Aiden English and Rusev, The New Day, and the current SD Live Tag Team Champions, The Usos.
All four teams put up an amazing performance solid performance and Gable also showcased his amazing wrestling talent, however, despite a valiant effort, it was The Usos who came out on top in the end and retained their belts.
The heart of the matter
UFC star Daniel Cormier recently decided to praise WWE's up and coming superstar, former American Alpha member Chad Gable via his official Twitter account, for Gable's performance at this year's Clash of Champions PPV.
Cormier decided to quote a video clip tweet, in which Gable was seen displaying his amazing strength and power, as he suplexed both Rusev and English with absolute beauty.
DC stated that Gable's suplexes looked real crafty and labelled them-- Olympic level. The UFC Lightweight Champion's tweet read: Wrestling right here. Good job betts! That's an Olympic level suplex bud.
What's next?
DC, who was also heavily criticised for his tweet against the Young Bucks, earlier on in the day will look forward to his next title defence in 2018, which will be against Swiss star Volkan Oezdemir.
The two Light Heavyweights will collide at the UFC 220 event, which will take place at the TD Garden in Boston, the same arena which also hosted this year's Clash of Champions PPV.
Author's Take
I think DC should not be criticised for stating his opinion against the Bucks and on the other hand, him praising Chad Gable also goes on to show his sportsmanship.
