WWE Money in the Bank 2024 - Star ratings for every match

WWE kicked off the second half of 2024 with another solid premium live event, as Money in the Bank was a great success. While John Cena's huge announcement was the talk of the town, the action was pretty good.

As has been the case with Triple H's five-match cards, all of them delivered. While a few decisions were questionable, the show was overall a net positive. So, let's dive in and look at what stole the show at Money in the Bank. Here are our star ratings out of five, for every match from the Toronto premium live event.

#1 Men's WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Money in the Bank kicked off with a bang, as the men's ladder match delivered on expectations. This was an epic stunt show, with all six WWE stars in the match putting their bodies on the line. Chad Gable was hell-bent on destruction, as he German suplexed a ladder onto Andrade.

The former AEW star hit Carmelo Hayes with a clean Sunset Powerbomb off the top of a ladder through another one. The spots got even wilder, with LA Knight being suplexed through a ladder outside the ring. Jey Uso came close to winning before Drew McIntyre knocked him off and unhooked the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Of course, we know what happened later on, but this was still an excellent match. There wasn't any interference from names like Logan Paul and Uncle Howdy, among others, but that's a good thing. All the focus was on the unbelievable spots in and around the ring.

Another epic Money in the Bank Ladder Match WWE can add to the collection and a hot start to this premium live event.

#2 Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker - WWE Intercontinental Championship

Sami Zayn and Bron Breakker were tasked with following up on the fantastic men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but they still managed to have a solid contest. Both men had their moments, with Breakker showcasing his vast moveset. He did some incredible stuff, including a Frankensteiner from the top rope.

However, that wasn't enough to win the Intercontinental Championship. Zayn stopped a Spear attempt and hit the Helluva Kick for the win. It was a straightforward way to end this contest after the intense action during it. One has to wonder where Bron Breakker goes next.

Rating: ***3/4

#3 Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins (vs. Drew McIntyre) - World Heavyweight Championship

For the most part, this was a pretty great match. Damian Priest had another solid performance, this time with Seth Rollins opposite him. The two constructed a fun contest before things got chaotic. Rollins and Priest both hit their biggest moves, although El Campeon seemingly forgot to kick out of the Falcon Arrow.

Following the botch, Drew McIntyre came out. The Scottish Warrior cashed in his Money in the Bank contract, making it a Triple Threat match. CM Punk emerged shortly afterward and attacked McIntyre, costing him the World Heavyweight Championship again.

Damian Priest hit the South of Heaven Chokeslam for the win, as he overcame multiple obstacles to retain his title. Seth Rollins had a spectacular showing himself but is now unable to challenge Priest again. This was a memorable encounter, as WWE effectively set up multiple SummerSlam matches.

Rating: ***3/4

#4 Women's WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Just like the men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match, the women's bout featured a bunch of insane spots. There was a lot more danger involved. Despite a shaky spell in between, everyone worked hard to ensure this was a success. Naomi had a good showing, as her split across two ladders was unbelievable.

Zoey Stark and Lyra Valkyria had their moments too, but IYO SKY delivered one of the most brutal spots of the night. She hit a Michinoku Driver on Stark through a ladder. This allowed Chelsea Green to climb and put her hands on the Money in the Bank briefcase, only to be thwarted.

Tiffany Stratton sent Green crashing through two tables outside the ring, before becoming Miss Money in the Bank. Chelsea's final bump was indicative of how the match turned out. Brutal and impressive. WWE really can't go wrong with multi-person ladder matches.

Rating: ****1/2

#5 The Bloodline vs. Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton & Kevin Owens

While not as chaotic as the two Money in the Bank Ladder matches, this was a fun brawl between good and evil. WWE fans were completely on Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton's side, as they battled The Bloodline.

Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga did well, but this main event belonged to Jacob Fatu. The Enforcer made his WWE in-ring debut and completely showed out. Fatu's offense was terrifying, as he accidentally obliterated the referee. He even played a part in the finish.

Jacob Fatu helped Solo spike Rhodes after hitting a Whisper in the Wind on The American Nightmare. That's how impressive he was, as the new Tribal Chief pinned the WWE Champion. Things are getting interesting on SmackDown, following this intense six-man brawl.
