WWE Money In The Bank 2013: Odds, wants and predictions

Money In The Bank is only hours away, and this year’s two ladder matches are arguably the most unpredictable in the PPV’s brief history. While it might be unpredictable, I will attempt to predict the outcome of every match, while also telling you what I want to happen and the odds for each match.

Chris Jericho vs. Ryback

Odds: Ryback has been on one hell of a PPV losing streak, with his last win dating back to almost a year ago against Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks. Meanwhile, Chris Jericho has been making people tap out left and right, meaning that Chris Jericho is the odds-on favourite to win.

Want: I know Chris Jericho’s current role in the WWE is to put over talent, but I would love to see him have one last World Championship run. So, seeing him win would put him in a better place for a future World Championship shot. Go Jericho!

Prediction: As I stated before, Jericho’s role right now in the WWE is to put people over, and there is no one who needs that more right now than Ryback. Expect Ryback to break his PPV losing streak, but with a little help from his soon-to-be manager Vickie Guerrero.

World Heavyweight Championship Money In The Bank Match

Odds: Everyone participating in this match (other than Dean Ambrose) has been a victim of bad booking over the past year, so it’s pretty exciting knowing that WWE is going to finally bring one of these talented stars out of mid-card hell. But out of all those mid-card stars looking to break out, only one has gotten some momentum over the past few weeks, which would be newly-minted “Real American” Antonio Cesaro. If you’re a betting man, put your money on the Swiss Sensation.

Want: There are so many guys in this match to root for, and I would be extremely happy to see almost any of them win the briefcase. But there is one guy who is long overdue for a World Championship run, and that would be Wade Barrett. He has the look, the charisma, and the ability to become a great champion, and I’ve become extremely tired of seeing him relegated to being a jobber.

Prediction: As I said before, I would be happy to see almost any of them win the briefcase, and I predict that I will be very happy when Cody Rhodes finally grabs his well-deserved Money In The Bank briefcase. Of course, he’ll have to battle with his best friend Damien Sandow on the top of the ladder before he can get it.

WWE Championship Money In The Bank Match

Odds: Everyone in this match is a legitimate threat, but CM Punk has garnered the most wins over the past few weeks, making him the odds-on favourite.

Want: Daniel Bryan is the best thing in the WWE right now. Period. There is no one who is more entertaining than him, no one who is putting on better matches than him, and no one gets a better reaction than him. There is literally no reason as to why he shouldn’t be the number one guy in the company, and there is no reason why he shouldn’t win Money In The Bank this year. Just think how satisfying it would be to see little ol’ American Dragon follow in the footsteps of fellow indy alumni CM Punk and win the WWE Championship from John Cena.

Prediction: Is anyone who’s isn’t Daniel Bryan winning Money In The Bank? In the words of Dean Ambrose: “Nope”.

AJ (c) vs. Kaitlyn – Divas Championship Match

Odds: While AJ has been skipping around the ring and sitting on the entrance ramp making faces, Kaitlyn has actually been picking up wins. So, Kaitlyn is going into this match as the odds-on favourite.

Want: AJ has brought more interest to the Divas Division than it has seen in years, and it would all go away if AJ lost her Divas Championship. AJ should make Kaitlyn tap out again, and go on to feud with NXT’s Paige. Who doesn’t want to see AJ take on the anti-Divas?

Prediction: Like I said, the Divas Division is seeing more action and interest from the fans than it has in a long time, and the WWE realizes that. Expect AJ to retain.
