Money in the Bank 2015- 5 promising developments
What began as a tribute to Dusty Rhodes, moved on to provide one of the better PPVs of the year. It was a fun PPV given that most of the matches delivered. They did exceed expectations for the most part. The crowd wasn’t the same throughout the night but the booking remained consistent. It was again a PPV that had a show stealing match with Owens- Cena and then had a fourth singles main event between Ambrose and Rollins.
The future shines bright and it’s better that we get used to Cena not main eventing that often now.
Here are the 5 Promising Developments from this Pay Per View-
Not just a pretty face anymore
Paige made her way to her match after a heartfelt promo about the state of the women’s division, about her aim to make a change and dedicated her match to a mentor who trusted an underdog like her. It takes one moment to start a revolution and Paige wanted to have that moment to initiate a change in how things are run in the division.
She walked in with quite a lot of impetus and both her and Nikki Bella provided one of the better matches we’ve seen from the divas this year. The heel in Nikki is still her best trait. She plays it so well and she’s so competent in the ring, you have to applaud that despite being called a major reason for the detriment of the division, she can now hold her own in the ring.
Once bitten, twice shy
This was the second PPV where Roman Reigns was predicted to win. After the Royal Rumble debacle, it would have been quite a risk to do this again- make him the favorite and actually have him win. And they didn’t do it. Sheamus, just like his one Rumble victory, came out as the winner of the eponymous PPV match.
There is no guarantee as to how this will pan out but the best part is that glory still eludes Reigns and that may finally make the audience want to see him win.
For now, Sheamus is on a roll
Continuity
Bray Wyatt attacked Roman Reigns and it all seems right. Why? Because Reigns defeated Bray Wyatt on Raw a week back and you finally have reason to point out at Wyatt’s intentions.
So, for once, that easy win will mean something in the long run. It wasn’t just a win that happened and was dealt away with that very night. You just don’t hand a defeat to Wyatt on free TV like that. There was supposed to be a continuity and there finally is.
