WWE Money in the Bank 2019: 4 biggest questions from the pay-per-view

Why would The Beast need a briefcase?
Why would The Beast need a briefcase?

The Money in the Bank pay-per-view was one of the most anticipated events of the year, and it certainly did not disappoint the fans in its major matches.

There were a total of six championship matches during the night, which was extended to seven after a surprising Money in the Bank cash-in was made.

On the other hand, the non-title matches were also quite decent, barring one of the main non-title matches from SmackDown which ended too quickly after such a major buildup.

At the end of the night, the WWE Universe must have been content with many of the outcomes, as we continue to have six separate babyface superstars holding the top titles of the company.

In this article, we will look at the 4 biggest questions from the event, and what they might mean for the superstars and the company in the weeks to come.

#4 Why was Elias fed to Roman Reigns

The entire rivalry seemed off from the beginning and could have worked better on Raw before both men were drafted to SmackDown Live.

Going into the event, this was probably the match with the most story and buildup, even though Becky Lynch, Lacey Evans, and Charlotte have been at it for weeks.

Fans expected everything from the match, from unfair calls to interferences. However, the match was over in a jiffy and laid waste to all the buildup and hype that both superstars had built around the match.

Reigns won the match convincingly, which does not ruin Elias’ reputation much, as he has always worked as a high-profile pay-per-view jobber on the main roster.

However, one wonders why Reigns needed this booking and if it actually does any good for the superstar in the long run, or was it just a filler till Reigns gets in the WWE Championship picture?

Another question is whether a win for Elias would have worked better, and the rivalry could have gone on to its final chapter at Super Show-Down.
