WWE Money in the Bank 2019: 5 shockers & surprises from the pay-per-view

The Money in the Bank pay-per-view is one of the most interesting events of the year, and similar to the Royal Rumble event, allows two superstars to win a chance at a guaranteed championship opportunity.

Not only that, but most of the major titles in the company are also put on the line at the event, which makes it a must-watch event each year.

This year, we watched both the major men’s championships and the two women’s belts get defended at the event in more than four matches. This allowed for new champions to be crowned, and old ones cementing their authority.

Even though we were ready for a few surprises from the event considering its nature, there were some huge surprises and shockers which we weren’t really ready for.

#5 Lars without a reason

Lars' stock has been extremely high since he was announced for his main roster move, and it has risen even further now.

Even though it took WWE a long time to get him to the scene, he has completely turned it upside down since his arrival. We’ve seen him dismantle everyone from Kurt Angle to R-Truth since his introduction, without appearing in a single match.

Kalisto, Lince Dorado, and Gran Metalik made their way to the squared circle for what was announced as a six-man tag team match last night. Instead, Lars once again made a surprise appearance and obliterated the masked competitors.

It was once again surprising to watch WWE use the Lucha House Party as guinea pigs, as the same trio had gotten a grand beating from The Viking Raiders a few weeks ago.

Instead, WWE could have used Lars in some other segment or match such as the one between Shane and The Miz.
