WWE Money in the Bank: 3 controversial things which should not have happened
WWE Money in the Bank has just been concluded, and what a crazy, crazy event it has been. From Champions like Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston successfully defending their titles in hard-fought battles to new champions being crowned in the likes of Rey Mysterio and Bayley, this has been quite a night for the WWE Universe.
Yes, you read that right, if Bayley winning the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match was not enough, she further went on to cash-in in the same night to become the new SmackDown Women's Champion.
However, The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar making his shocking return to win the Men's MITB ladder match was certainly the highlight of the show. All in all, WWE certainly delivered onto the promise to put together a 5-star show for the masses.
Nonetheless, creative did make a few slip-ups or should I say, booking errors which have not only left the Internet divided but could also haunt the company in the long run.
And yes, in this article we are going to discuss the 3 controversial decisions which should not have happened at Money in the Bank.
#3 Shane McMahon picking up a win against The Miz
The Miz faced Shane McMahon in a steel cage match at Money in the Bank and in spite of dominating the match for the most part, victory slipped through his fingers, quite literally.
While The Miz was thinking of suplexing Shane from the top of the steel cage, Shane slipped through his shirt to land onto the ground to escape with a win.
It was speculated that the current feud between The Miz and Shane McMahon would eventually end at Money in the Bank, and rightfully so. The rivalry between the duo has been the talk of the town ever since March 2019. However, WWE chose otherwise. To be honest, handing Shane another win to prolong the feud may turn out to be a bad move by the WWE.
WWE had the golden opportunity to launch The Miz in the bigger picture given the fire and momentum that he currently has behind his back. However, prolonging the feud against Shane may not only prove to be underwhelming but could also end up undermining the host of Miz TV.
