WWE News: 2 top stars turn heel on SmackDown Live

He tells The Man that she needs to get cleared from the doctor.

What's the story?

The latest edition of SmackDown Live saw a very interesting opening segment. In the very first segment of the show, we saw not one, but two heel turns from a top star and legend.

In case you didn't know...

Becky Lynch has been one of the rare superstars jumping back-and-forth brands on the road to WrestleMania. We do see the authority figures on both shows, but apart from free agent John Cena, no other star has been appearing on both RAW and SmackDown Live.

The reason for this is because Becky Lynch cashed in her Royal Rumble win, challenging Ronda Rousey to the RAW Women's Championship. However, the story in WWE now is that Becky Lynch is suffering from a knee injury and needs to get cleared by a doctor.

Lynch, continuously refusing to visit the doctor, has been suspended in storyline, but that didn't stop her from attacking Stephanie McMahon on RAW and then appearing on SmackDown the very next night.

The heart of the matter

Charlotte Flair opened the show and turned heel right off the bat.

Her mannerisms and promos indicated her heel turn, as she started talking trash about Becky Lynch. The Man appeared from the crowd despite her suspension and was soon confronted by Triple H.

When she continued to refuse, she also asked Triple H how Stephanie was in the aftermath of her attack. Triple H then turned heel as well, going back into his old authority persona. He put Lynch down, accusing her of faking her injury because she was scared to face Ronda Rousey.

He was then met with a quick slap to the face by Lynch before she voluntarily left. It looks like The Man will have more hurdles than just Ronda Rousey on the road to WrestleMania.

What's next?

It's a very interesting storyline, putting Becky Lynch in an underdog role. It looks like it's going to be Becky Lynch vs Rousey vs Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, with Lynch possibly battling the McMahon family as well.
