What's the story?

As per confirmation via WWE's official Twitter handle, several big matches have now been confirmed for this week's episode of SmackDown Live, including the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, The Good Brothers, and WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan.

In case you didn't know...

At the recently concluded Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Daniel Bryan successfully defended his WWE Championship against AJ Styles, following outside interference from Rowan, who aligned himself with the WWE Champion and helped him retain his title belt.

Shinsuke Nakamura, meanwhile, recently ignited a feud against The Good Brothers after having won the US title at the Royal Rumble, only to lose it the next day on SmackDown Live against R-Truth.

The heart of the matter

WWE has now confirmed several mouthwatering matches for this week's edition of SmackDown Live, the first of which will feature a singles match between WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan and Jeff Hardy.

Another highly awaited clash that has also been confirmed is a bout between SmackDown upstart Mustafa Ali, who is set to go toe-to-toe with multi-time WWE World Champion, Randy Orton in the build-up to the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

The Good Brothers, meanwhile, will face-off the tag team of Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev, who recently turned heel on last week's episode of SD Live after brutally attacking R-Truth following his shocking US Championship win over 'The Rockstar of WWE'.

What's next?

The next big pay-per-view WWE is now preparing for is the Elimination Chamber where WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan will defend his title belt against five other men inside the gruelling chamber structure.

After revealing the new WWE Championship belt on last week's episode of SmackDown Live, 'The New Daniel Bryan' is all set to put his title on the line against Mustafa Ali, Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, and AJ Styles inside the Elimination Chamber, which takes place on February 17.
