What’s the story?

Adam Cole made his in-ring WWE debut in the main event of NXT’s September 27th taping as he took on SAnitY leader, Eric Young.

The highly popular former Bullet Club member was accompanied to the ring by Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. The match ended with Cole besting Young.

In case you didn’t know…

Adam Cole, whose real name is Austin Jenkins, is considered to be one of the most popular professional wrestlers of this generation and was one of the hottest prospects on the free market after parting ways with ROH (Ring Of Honor).

The 28-year-old rose to prominence as part of the Bullet Club - performing in organizations such as ROH and NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling) - prior to signing with WWE.

The heart of the matter

Adam Cole made his first appearance on NXT at Takeover: Brooklyn III this past August, alongside the aforementioned Fish and O’Reilly—with the faction now declaring themselves as the Undisputed Era and aiming to take over WWE's developmental brand.

On that note, Cole’s first official match took place on September 27th against Eric Young—a showdown that saw Cole tag EY with a huge Shining Wizard for the pinfall victory.

What’s next?

Adam Cole is touted by several industry insiders to be due for a big push in NXT, given the fact that the company’s management is extremely high on the young prospect eventually breaking through as a top star in WWE.
