WWE News: AJ Styles opens up about his dream match for WrestleMania
What's the story?
In a recent interview with Planeta Wrestling, the Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, talked about what his dream match at WrestleMania would be. Styles mentioned a few interesting names and even reminisced about some of his previous matches.
In case you didn't know...
AJ Styles had what many considered to be the most entertaining match at WrestleMania 33 with Shane McMahon. Styles said in the interview that he enjoyed the match because it is always bigger than anything else when you are in the ring with Shane O'Mac.
With that being said, he undoubtedly hopes to compete for gold at the thirty-fourth edition of the Showcase of the Immortals.
The heart of the matter
AJ Styles, in an interview with Planeta Wrestling, talked about a number of topics, including what his dream match at WrestleMania 34 would be.
Styles began by reminiscing about some of his previous matches, including his matches against Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and John Cena. He also talked about why his WrestleMania 33 match against Shane McMahon was very special.
"I've had a lot of great matches already and I don't know that I can pick just one, I don't know if that's a question for me," he said.
He continued, saying,"Now I did enjoy the WrestleMania match because it's always bigger than anything else, with Shane McMahon and I'm very proud of that match. That's one that's at the top of my list, but there are many others like with Roman Reigns and John Cena as well, so it's hard to pick just one."
The Phenomenal One then got to the big question of whom he would like to face at WrestleMania 34. Styles said he'd love the opportunity to face Nakamura, Bobby Roode or another fresh opponent on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
His exact words were: "Will it happen? I'm not sure. I think there's a lot of matches that people want to see and Shinsuke vs. AJ Styles is definitely one of them, also with Bobby Roode."
What's next?
As we know, AJ Styles recently had his brief US title reign ended by Baron Corbin. It still remains to be seen if Styles will prolong his feud with Corbin for the US Championship or if he will turn his attention to the WWE Championship.
