WWE News: AJ Styles reacts to next week’s Superstar Shakeup on Twitter
What’s the story?
WWE superstar AJ Styles took to Twitter today to respond to the announcement of a Superstar Shakeup which will take place on Raw next week.
In case you didn’t know…
WWE Chairman Vince McMahon made his first appearance on Raw since April last year on this week’s show. He started off by thanking the fans for helping WrestleMania 33 live up to its name of being the 'Ultimate Thrill Ride’.
However, McMahon claimed that the big wheel keeps turning and so there will be a Superstar Shakeup next week involving superstars from the Raw and SmackDown LIVE rosters. In another major announcement, he also named Kurt Angle as the new Raw general manager.
The heart of the matter
SmackDown LIVE superstar AJ Styles took some time out to give his reaction to the Superstar Shakeup this morning. Styles tweeted that a superstar shakeup could turn out to be a phenomenal opportunity. Here is the tweet posted by ‘The Phenomenal One’:
A superstar shakeup, huh? Could be a #phenomenal opportunity.. #Raw #SDLive

Tonight’s episode of SmackDown LIVE, though, saw the former WWE Champion sing significant altogether. Styles made his way out to the ring when his opponent from WrestleMania, SD Commissioner Shane McMahon, was addressing the crowd about the shakeup.
He told Shane that he didn’t know what was going on with this new development. However, he insisted that he wouldn't switch brands because SmackDown was the house that he built. AJ added that he also doesn’t want someone to come over and take it away from him.
What next?
There will be a lot to look forward to on next week’s episode of Raw which will air from the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. We can expect some major changes to the rosters of WWE’s two most prominent brands.
Author’s take
While it would be ideal for SmackDown LIVE to be able to retain the services of AJ Styles, it is highly possible that we may see him join Raw next week. However, considering the tremendous ability that ‘The Phenomenal One’ possesses, it doesn’t really matter which show he is on as long as he is doing what he does best.
