What’s the story?
In a recent interview with 97.9 The Box, AJ Styles revealed how he plans to defeat Brock Lesnar.
Expounding upon his strategy for the Lesnar matchup, Styles asserted that he doesn’t really know how one can beat a 285-pound Beast but will try to dodge and tire out the Universal Champion like Muhammad Ali.
In case you didn’t know…
AJ Styles recently shocked the world by besting Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship.
That in turn, led to a change of matchups; with Styles replacing Mahal; and facing Lesnar at Survivor Series.
The heart of the matter
AJ Styles spoke on a myriad of topics promoting Survivor Series at the local radio station in Houston, Texas; emphasizing his strategy or lack thereof against Brock Lesnar—
“How do you prepare for Brock Lesnar? I'm not sure how you do that, I'm just going to make the best of my opportunities.
"(Brock is) 285 pounds, a guy that has that much muscle mass is going to require a lot of oxygen. So let's see if I can dip and dodge a little bit, a little Muhammad Ali on him and see what happens…When the opportunity presents itself, I'm going to take advantage of it."
Furthermore, Styles reiterated the size difference in the matchup; jesting about his chances against the Beast Incarnate.
