WWE News: AJ Styles says his transition to WWE's style has been easy
SmackDown Live Superstar and WWE World Champion AJ Styles has easily been one of the most popular figures in the WWE in the past year or so. Ever since he signed up with the world’s biggest pro-wrestling promotion in January, Styles has been on a roll and has climbed the ladder of success quite quickly.
In a recent interview with NBC Sports, ‘The Phenomenal One’ opened up about how he has transitioned to WWE’s style of wrestling, after having worked with numerous different promotions in his illustrious career. According to him, the switch has been pretty easy, and his new colleagues have helped him out with it.
“It’s been easy. Every guy that I’ve worked here in the WWE has been great. I think they understand that it’s not about them, it’s not about me, it’s about the match and about making sure that people enjoy what they’re seeing because if we work together and put on a good product, we’ll keep those fans,” Styles explained.

On his incredible run in the WWE, AJ Styles admitted that no one, including himself, could have thought, that it would take him just nine months to have the WWE World title around his waist. He claimed that it took him at least a week to sink it in that he had achieved the feat.
The self-proclaimed ‘Champ That Runs The Camp’ stated, “I don’t think anybody could fathom, nor did I, that I would be the world champion in nine months of coming to the WWE. That’s huge, and it’s a great opportunity for me, and it’s a blessing all in the same. I think it really took more than a week to set in, like wow, I’m the WWE world champion.”
Styles also spoke about how the attention that comes with being part of the WWE can make it difficult for Superstars to enjoy themselves. He said, “When you’re working for a machine like the WWE, everything changes. It makes it hard to go to things that you used to enjoy.”
“You know there are going to be tonnes of kids there and you might want to avoid it, because you’re going to be hounded, which isn’t a bad thing. I’m glad I have those fans, but sometimes when I’m home, I just want to be able to chill out,” added ‘the Phenomenal One’.
When asked if it has been difficult for him and his family to cope with his tight schedule, the Superstar claimed that it was not a hard schedule for him to adapt to and that he has been living this kind of life for the past 17 to 18 years now.
“It’s not a very hard schedule for me to adapt to. I mean this is the life that I’ve known for the past 17, going on 18 years. My wife and I, we get it now. This is what we do, and it’s not hard at all. My wife and I know that this is temporary because this isn’t going to last forever. Let’s enjoy it while we can and reap the benefits of hard work,” Styles was quoted as saying.
