WWE News: Alexa Bliss opens up on her in-ring status ahead of WrestleMania 35
What's the story?
There's been an incredible amount of speculation regarding the in-ring future of Alexa Bliss over the past year or so, after injury seemingly brought her hugely successful career thus far to a standstill, with these rumours only furthered by the former Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion's WrestleMania role.
However, speaking with TMZ today, Bliss has cleared up some stuff.
In case you didn't know...
Little Miss Bliss' future was thrown into disarray last year when her match with Trish Stratus became a tag team match, before Five Feet of Fury was removed from the match altogether on the night.
Being named the captain of the RAW Women's team for Survivor Series seemed to have positioned Bliss for the role of General Manager, or at least co-GM, with Baron Corbin appointing Bliss to the role on Monday Night RAW, with her since moving into the role of presenter on an entertainment segment and now the host of WrestleMania.
The heart of the matter
Alexa Bliss spoke with TMZ ahead of WrestleMania 35 to confirm her in-ring status.
“Medically, I’m completely able to wrestle. I’m fantastic, I’ve been wrestling at all the live events for the past month, month and a half. But right now on TV, I’m just focusing on the hosting role to get ready for WrestleMania.
Bliss clarified that she isn't injured.
It’s not that I’m injured or that I’m out of the ring, I’m completely fine, doing well, feel great, been doing all the live events, but just right now I’m focused on hosting because I don’t want to go out there and make a fool out of myself.”
Alexa Bliss spoke about when she thinks she will be back in the ring and has a huge target in mind for when the time comes:
“Hopefully after WrestleMania. My plan is, whoever wins that women’s main event, that’s who I got my eyes on.”
What's next?
Well, who knows what could happen at WrestleMania with Bliss hosting. Hopefully, we see more of Little Miss Bliss in WWE very soon!
