WWE News: Alexa Bliss reveals her true feelings about Ronda Rousey

Could these two superstars clash down the line?
Could these two superstars clash down the line?

What's the story?

The Goddess of WWE Alexa Bliss was recently interviewed by Cageside Seats and asked about a variety of topics pertaining to WrestleMania 34. One of them concerned MMA megastar and current WWE sensation, Ronda Rousey.

Bliss was unsurprisingly happy to see Rousey as part of the Women's Division. She called Rousey 'just what we need for the Women's Evolution'.

In case you didn't know...

Both Alexa Bliss and Ronda Rousey have big money matches at WrestleMania. Bliss will be competing against her best friend, Nia Jax, for the RAW Women's Championship whereas Rousey will team up with Kurt Angle to take on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Ronda Rousey has been the talk of the town ever since she's arrived in WWE. While the reaction in the locker room has mostly been positive, some women had complained about her stealing their thunder after the historic Women's Royal Rumble match.

The heart of the matter

Alexa Bliss was full of praise for Ronda Rousey:

I’m very excited to have Ronda here. With the women’s evolution we have the most diverse women in sports entertainment, and I love that. I love that Ronda brings another element to that. I think she’s just what we need for this women’s evolution and she will do great.

The two women may actually square off, down the line. It will be interesting to see how their program will be.

What's next?

WrestleMania weekend is finally here and the excitement is certainly quite real. Rousey and Bliss will both be key players in the Women's Evolution, going forward. The future of the women's division should be quite interesting indeed.

Author's take

Bliss is generally very politically correct when she's not in character, and so it's not hard to see why she put Rousey over. Bliss probably realizes the kind of money she can make with Rousey, with the right program.

With Rousey's notoriety and Bliss' promo skills, they could have a great little feud down the line.
