What’s the story?

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss was recently interviewed by Ringside Collectibles during last week’s Ringside Fest. During her interview, Bliss revealed that she hoped to main event a WrestleMania. She also added that her dream opponent was Trish Stratus.

In case you didn’t know…

Alexa Bliss is the current and two-time Raw Women’s Champion. She was first signed by the WWE back in 2013 when she first started performing in WWE’s developmental brand, NXT.

Alexa eventually got the main roster call-up in 2016 when she was drafted to SmackDown Live. She went on to win the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship later that very year by defeating Becky Lynch.

In April of 2017, Alexa was drafted to Monday Night Raw and won the Raw Women’s Title the very same month by defeating Bayley. In doing so, Bliss became the first women in WWE history to hold both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championship.

The heart of the matter

During her interview with Ringside Collectibles, Alexa Bliss claimed that her goal in WWE is to main event a WrestleMania. Bliss claims that it’s not only her who thinks the same way but women, in general, hope to headline WrestleMania someday.

She also believes that the next step in the WWE Women’s Revolution is to make sure that, one day, the women wrestlers of WWE get to go on last on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

When asked about her dream Wrestlemania opponent, Bliss revealed that she would like to step into the ring with former seven-time WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus.

Bliss then stated that during her childhood days she grew up watching Trish Stratus perform inside the squared circle and would absolutely love to have a match against the Hall of Famer at a WrestleMania someday.

What’s next?

Clearly, the goal for Bliss right now is to headline WrestleMania. But, as of right now, she will have to turn her focus towards the upcoming WWE pay-per-view Smackdown Live where she will face off against the blue brand’s Women’s Champion Natalya.

Author’s take

Personally, I agree with Bliss and believe that the current WWE Women’s roster is more than capable of putting up a great show at a Wrestlemania main event. However, I don’t see it happening anytime soon.

But, on the other hand, I absolutely love the idea of a match between Alexa Bliss and Trish Stratus. With legends like Kurt Angle, Shane McMahon, and Triple H performing in WWE, why can't the fans hope for Trish Stratus to return and have one last match?
