What’s the story?

In an interview with The Times Of India, Alexa Bliss weighed in on a myriad of topics; including her thoughts on WWE’s tour of India.

Additionally, Bliss also gave her take on Kavita Devi being the first-Indian born female performer to sign with the WWE.

In case you didn’t know…

Alexa Bliss is considered to be one of the WWE’s marquee Superstars today.

The reigning WWE RAW Women’s Champion has been scheduled to compete at WWE’s upcoming live event next month in India.

The heart of the matter

Alexa Bliss expressed her excitement ahead of WWE’s India tour—which will be her first visit to the country—adding that she often reads fan-posts on social media from her followers in India. Besides, upon being probed about Kavita Devi’s signing a developmental contract with WWE, Bliss stated—

“That it is a process; everyone starts from the bottom and has to work their way up. It is not a sprint, it is marathon and that's what Sara Amato (Assistant Head Coach at NXT) always says.”
“It is very tough, tough schedule, tough life. It's a 'Groundhog Day' and you have to go through it. You have to realize why are you doing this and just learn the process, respect the process and love the process.”

Furthermore, Bliss explained that she’s still learning and evolving her overall game; besides also emphasizing that fans and performers get to engage on a more intimate basis during WWE’s live events rather than they the RAW/SmackDown/PPV television tapings.

Additionally, the "Goddess of WWE" also stated that the WWE Superstars are excited to be in India; apart from urging the Indian fans to bring all their energy to the live event.

What’s next?

The WWE’s live event on its Indian tour goes down at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi on December 9; with the marquee matchup featuring Jinder Mahal competing against Triple H.

Author’s take

Alexa Bliss seems to be genuinely pumped about WWE’s tour of the land of the seven rivers.

Here’s hoping we get to see the best of Bliss and everyone else on the tour. Speaking of which, the Wicket Witch is also spot-on as regards Kavita Devi’s developmental contract, in the sense that pro-wrestling is a tough business and with the WWE’s hectic road schedule, Devi will have to put in the work in order to rise to the top in WWE.
