WWE Rumours: NXT Tag Team's main roster call-up moved forward by brand split?
Newly crowned NXT Tag Team Champions American Alpha – comprising of the duo of Jason Jordan and Chad Gable – were reportedly pencilled in to be called up to the main roster in the fall of this year, only for those plans to be changed after the advent of the brand split.
Having captured NXT gold in a rollicking match against the Revival at Takeover: Dallas earlier this year, the popular team were apparently due to anyway receive a promotion to shore up the tag team scene in the main roster.
But new overlapping plans in establishing two rosters for the brand split could have brought forward those plans.
Well coordinated, athletic and clean-cut, one would think American Alpha has every ingredient to appeal to the mainstream audience that embraces Raw and Smackdown, hence rendering their call-up to the main roster a mere matter of when and not if.
