WWE News: American Alpha gets their rematch if neither team moves brands
What’s the story?
According to Shane McMahon, American Alpha will get their SmackDown LIVE Tag Team Championship rematch against The Usos next week. There is one caveat that could keep this match from happening, the WWE Superstar shakeup. This match was reportedly set for WrestleMania, but both teams were eventually relegated to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
In case you didn’t know...
Just before WrestleMania 33, The Usos defeated American Alpha on the March 21st edition of Smackdown LIVE to win the titles. The Usos would win the championships by nefarious means as Jimmy Uso delivered a low blow to Jason Jordan just before the pinfall.
The heart of the matter
Vince McMahon dropped a bombshell on the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania this week with the announcement of a talent shakeup. Several Superstars such as AJ Styles, The New Day, Sami Zayn, and The Miz have been rumoured to switch shows.

However, this announcement makes it seem likely that the Usos and American Alpha will stay on the blue brand.
What’s next?
We’ll know for sure if this tag team championship match is set in stone after next week’s Monday Night Raw. It is unknown at this point how many superstars will be moved and if the General Manager and/or Commissioner can protect a certain amount of WWE Superstars.
Author’s take
In my opinion, neither team is going to move brands. WWE.com wouldn’t have used the quote from Shane on Talking Smack if the match wasn’t going to happen. I think they’re just adding intrigue to Monday Night Raw next week to get people to tune in, and it’s brilliant. The excitement heading into Raw makes it a must-see event.
