In comments for The Leader-Post, O’Neil cited former World Champion Batista as the reason he became a pro wrestler, stating the following: “If you would have told me a few years ago that I would be a WWE superstar today, I would tell you you’re a fool. If it wasn’t for a very good friend of mine and my neighbour, Dave Batista, I can assure you I wouldn’t be here today.”

WWE’s developmental system NXT has hired a new associate producer. That person is Ryan Katz, who independent wrestling fans might know better as “GQ Money” or “Fabian Kaelin”. Katz has been involved in wrestling for over ten years, and despite not being a major name, has a reputation for having a great mind for the business and is highly respected by his peers. Katz has been seen on WWE television in the past, recently appearing in the Kane/Daniel Bryan “hug therapy” skits. It is likely he will not be used on television, however. Katz recently retired as an active competitor, and has stated on his Twitter account (@IAmSmiley) that he will be working exclusively behind-the-scenes for NXT.
