Randy Orton

Although originally planned for Summerslam, Triple H turning heel during the main event and building into a feud with Vince McMahon may be put on hold for a few months. Although it’s not guaranteed, there is a strong possibility at the moment. However, the feud is still expected to go on soon, likely culminating at Wrestlemania.

Speaking of Summerslam, part of the reason for the postponement of Triple H’s heel turn is due to this Sunday’s main event. There is a strong possibility that Daniel Bryan will defeat John Cena for the WWE title, only to lose it to Randy Orton, who will cash in his MITB briefcase after the match, leading to a feud between Orton and Bryan.

The reason is because Cena’s elbow injury from a while ago is apparently bothering him again, and he will have to take time off after the PPV on Sunday to have surgery and recover. However, Cena is only planning on being out a month at most. He is expected to be involved in the Triple H/McMahon feud that is planned, which is the reason that feud is looking to be put on hold temporarily.

WWE 2k14, the newest WWE video game that will be released in October, is reportedly featuring a “Wrestlemania XXX” mode. This mode will be similar to the “Attitude Era” mode in WWE ’13, but will specifically focus on Wrestlemania, allowing you to relive 45 famous moments from the first 29 instalments of the PPV.

CM Punk appeared at Wrigley Field in his hometown of Chicago, IL over the weekend to play wiffle ball with several children, raising money for a local charity in the process.

At yesterday’s Summerslam press conference, it was announced that this Sunday’s pre-show kickoff will be an hour long instead of the usual half-hour. Natalya and WWE Hall of Famers Booker T & Shawn Michaels will star on the show, and it will also feature Dean Ambrose defending the WWE United States Championship against Rob Van Dam.

WWE is teaming up with Anchor Bay Films to acquire distribution for a film called Road to Paloma. The film is about a Native American who is wanted by the FBI for going after thugs who rape and kill his mother on their tribe’s reservation.

Yesterday, former WWE and World Champion Sheamus underwent successful surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He is expected to be out 4-6 months for physical therapy and rehabilitation. This will be the first time Sheamus has missed any significant amount of ring time since being called up to the main roster from FCW back in 2009.
