WWE News: Another big name announces participation in the Royal Rumble match
What's the story?
The 31st Annual Royal Rumble is set to take place on the 28th of January on the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. A large number of WWE superstars had already announced their participation in the Rumble, and this week's Monday Night Raw saw another big star throw his name into the mix.
Bray Wyatt announced his participation in the Royal Rumble match in a video promo on Raw.
In case you didn't know...
Bray Wyatt has been involved in a feud with Matt Hardy recently, with each star using promos to face each other. This week on Raw, Matt Hardy made his in-ring return and defeated Curt Hawkins in a singles match, for the first time since he adopted his new 'Woken' persona. After Hardy had defeated Hawkins, Wyatt appeared in the ring, and the two stars faced each other.
Before he faced Hawkins, Hardy had declared that he would participate in the Royal Rumble.
The heart of the matter
With his nemesis in the match, it was only a matter of time before Bray declared his intentions for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view as well.
In a promo, during Raw, Wyatt said that he had faced everyone who was anyone. He reiterated that he was a 'God' and that he would prove it in the Royal Rumble match, before ending his promo saying 'Run'.
In the previous year's Royal Rumble, Wyatt lasted till the final three competitors before being eliminated by Reigns.
What's next?
Wyatt and Hardy are all set for a feud, and if they meet during the Royal Rumble match, sparks will fly. The Royal Rumble is set to take place on the 28th of January in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Author's take
Wyatt's experience wrestling in the Rumble means that he will not be an easy man to eliminate. While he is unlikely to win the Rumble, he is a potential threat to all the other participants.
