WWE News: Another WWE legend confirmed for the 25th Anniversary of Raw
What's the story?
WWE legend and former D-Generation X & NWO member Sean 'X Pac' Waltman has announced that he will be appearing on the 25th anniversary Raw episode.
X Pac announced on his most recent edition of the 'X Pac 1, 2, 360' podcast that he would be appearing on Raw and was a little hurt that his name wasn't mentioned on Raw or SmackDown this week when WWE named several legends who would be appearing.
In case you didn't know...
While traveling to the UK for an independent appearance, X Pac was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, with possible intention to sell, and an outstanding driving-under-influence (DUI) warrant, at the Los Angeles International Airport on 29 April 2017. This may have been why WWE chose not to announce his appearance on TV.
The heart of the matter
X Pac is one of the most memorable superstars in the history of WWE Raw, mostly thanks to his run with DX, but also had a good run as 'The 123 Kid'.
It would have been a big shame if X Pac didn't appear as his fellow DX members have all been announced, as have his former NWO partners Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The charges against X Pac were ultimately dropped on 26 May 2017.
What's next?
The WWE Raw 25th Anniversary show takes place one week from Monday on 22 January 2018 in both the Barclays Center and Manhattan Center in New York. X Pac will likely be reuniting with DX for a segment but may also be involved with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.
Author's take
I was really glad X Pac was announced, even if he had to do it himself. A DX reunion wouldn't have felt like a proper one without him. X Pac has too many great Raw memories to have not been included in the special edition episode of the show.
