WWE News: Backstage news on Becky Lynch-Charlotte Flair segment on RAW
What's the story?
F4WOnline.com have fresh updates on as to why WWE is going forward with current booking plans for Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch heading into WrestleMania 35.
In case you didn't know...
During the closing segment for last night's Monday Night RAW, Becky Lynch reluctantly apologized to both Stephanie McMahon and Triple H for her actions last week which resulted in her getting physical with "The Authority", resulting in her immediate suspension and cancelation of her WrestleMania match with Ronda Rousey.
After apologizing, Triple H lifted her suspension. However, Mr. McMahon would come out and veto the decision made by his son-in-law, declaring that "he" did not accept Becky's apology for what she had done and went on to suspend her for 60 days. He also announced Charlotte Flair as Becky's replacement to challenge Ronda Rousey.
The heart of the matter
According to reports from F4WOnline.com, the following report was made to shed some light on the current angle between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. [H/T PWMania]
“The interesting thing here is that a lot of people think that Vince is doing this because he’s playing off the internet feeling that Charlotte is the company person and all that, so to get heat with people in that way, but in fact, that’s not the case. It’s just the story that was written before any of that stuff happened, so it wasn’t even that they were expecting it, it just worked out in their favor. This thing has basically been laid out a long time back.”
What's next?
Charlotte Flair will go on to challenge the winner of the Ronda Rousey versus Ruby Riott match at WrestleMania 35. The match between Rousey and Riott will take place this Sunday at Elimination Chamber.
In the meantime, Becky Lynch is currently serving her suspension (storyline) but is likely to be worked back into the match at some point.
