WWE News: Backstage update on Asuka's main roster debut

Asuka is one of the top Women’s wrestler right now!

The NXT Women’s Champion, Asuka, is without a doubt, one of the most talented female performers to have ever graced the ring. She’s undefeated on NXT and is set to have a match for the NXT Women’s Championship, at NXT Takeover: Toronto, against the returning Mickie James.

With all these amazing things going on for Asuka, everyone’s wondering, when is she going to be called-up to the main roster? NXT Veterans such as Becky Lynch, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Charlotte, have already settled in the main roster and are putting on some great matches.

Unfortunately, the future for Asuka seems to be limited to NXT right now. According to a report from CageSideSeats, WWE officials have no plans on bringing Asuka to either Monday Night RAW or SmackDown Live! anytime soon. Instead, it is being debated whether she’ll actually ever be called up to the main roster, after her run in the NXT has subsided.

Reportedly, the plan, for now, is to keep Asuka in the NXT, as the core of the Women’s division just like Bayley. Asuka will help in rebuilding the female division, considering how weak the division has now become. Rising stars such as Ember Moon, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce and many more, can get the help they need to push themselves to superstardom.

Every match Asuka has been in has been a contender for “Match of the Year” and thus, with her talents, the female division in NXT, can regain its popularity once again. But, once the job has been done, there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Asuka will be immediately called up to either RAW or SmackDown.

What do you guys think?

Should Asuka stay in NXT? Or is it time for her to come up to the main roster?
