WWE News: Baron Corbin suspended over recent actions
After an altercation on this week’s episode of “Talking Smack,” Baron Corbin has been suspended and fined by SmackDown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon.
The story was posted on the WWE website, which reported that the suspension would be one week with an undisclosed fine. It comes after Corbin shoved a referee, during his assault on Sami Zayn. This was apparently unacceptable behaviour in Shane’s eyes:

...on #TalkingSmack were irresponsible and unprofessional. He has been fined and suspended for one week effectively immediately. #SDLive

The punishment is simply a storyline move, but it does set an interesting precedent. Superstars frequently get physical with officials during these types of situations, so it will be interesting to see if WWE remains consistent.
