From the WWE Rumor Mill: Batista looking to come back to WWE
What's the story?
According to the latest report by Dave Meltzer of WON, Batista is serious about returning to the WWE for a final long run before calling it quits.
It is being estimated that his run might last up to a year or atleast 6 months when he does return.
It is also being reported that Batista is looking to return to a more regular schedule, unlike the ones Goldberg or Brock Lesnar have had.
In case you didn't know...
Batista had joined WWE in 2002 and stayed with the company till 2010; winning the World Championship 4-times in the process.
Batista returned to WWE in 2013 winning the Royal Rumble and reforming the stable "Evolution" along with Triple H and Randy Orton to take on The Shield in a lengthy feud.
Batista, however, left the company yet again in 2014 due to creative differences.
The heart of the matter
Batista in undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer and having him back in WWE would be great for the fans and also for upcoming talent as Batista has stated that he is looking forward to putting over younger talent and repaying debts.
Batista was last seen in the hit movies guardians of the galaxy 2 and Blade Runner, and has been doing well for himself in Hollywood by being a part of successful movies; so it is great to see that he wants to return to WWE for a final run.
What's next?
If Batista does indeed return to WWE soon, we could see him in a feud against Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns depending on whoever is the Universal Champion at that point.
A feud between Braun Strowman and Batista would also work extremely well and help to establish Braun as a main eventer.
Author's take
Batista returning to WWE could be huge. It is great to know that even with movies such as Marvel's Infinity Wars and Hotel Artemis lined up for 2018, Batista wants one last run with WWE.
