WWE News: Bayley comments on Ronda Rousey's arrival to the WWE and having a potential match against Sasha Banks at WrestleMania

WWE Raw superstar and former Raw Women’s Champion Bayley recently spoke with Newshub during which she weighed in her opinions on WWE’s newest signing, Ronda Rousey and commented on a potential WrestleMania 34 match against her close friend and former adversary Sasha Banks.
In case you didn’t know…
Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and MMA veteran Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut at this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view when the former UFC star was involved in a confrontation with Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, and the winner of the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble, Asuka.

While interacting with Newshub, Bayley spoke on a host of wrestling related topics and here are a few highlights from her interview:
On Ronda Rousey coming to the WWE:
Bayley stated that despite her arrival to the WWE, Ronda Rousey will not be capable of taking away Bayley’s spot from the current women’s roster in the WWE. Bayley said that despite Rousey’s menacing presence and star power, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion will not be able to stop the former NXT Women’s Champion in achieving her dreams.
Additionally, Bayley claimed that over the past few years, Ronda Rousey has had a very strong influence in the world of sports and the reason why people are willing to see her is that they believe that Rousey is a top-level attraction. Bayley believes that Rousey isn’t taking away the spotlight from anyone in the WWE and is rather helping the other female superstars to push it to their limit in order to get to the top of the mountain in the WWE.
Facing Sasha Banks at WrestleMania:
Bayley admitted that she would love to square-off against Sasha Banks at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’; however, the former Raw Women’s Champion also thinks that there might not be enough room for her and Sasha to put on a proper match-up with the allotted time they deserve.
What’s next?
Following the recent turn of events at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view and on the latest edition of Raw, it seems like WWE are finally heading towards a potential bout between both Sasha and Bayley. The two ladies have previously collided on several occasions in WWE and have never failed to put up a great showing.
Author’s Take
I’ve always been a fan of both Bayley and Sasha Banks and I think that the two ladies should indeed go head-to-head in a match at WrestleMania, however, I think that WWE should save that bout for the future and rather book the ladies in a Women’s Title match instead.
