WWE News: Bayley's fiancé lashes out on Twitter, Reby Hardy responds

Aaron Solow was not a very happy man
Aaron Solow was not a very happy man

What's the story?

One would imagine that being engaged to Bayley would make just about any man in the world a very happy man. Such is not the case with independent wrestler Aaron Solow who posted this on Twitter:

This Tweet got a lot of social media interaction, including a response from Reby Hardy AKA Queen Rebecca. This is what she had to say to Solow:

In case you didn't know...

Aaron Solow and Bayley have been in a romantic relationship for a really long time now. While Solow is an accomplished independent superstar, Bayley, on the other hand, is a WWE megastar, who is known across the world.

Often when two wrestlers are in a relationship and one is more popular than the other, the crowd begins to chant for the more popular superstar of the two and the announcers follow suit.

The heart of the matter

Solow was understandably upset when the announcers referred to him as Mr. Bayley, and all of social media hounded him with the same remark. Reby Hardy was quick to point out that women in the industry had been victims of the same sort of treatment for many years.

This was especially clear during the Women's Royal Rumble, where Michelle McCool was subject to 'Undertaker' chants, and Lana got 'Rusev Day' chants. Therefore, she urged Aaron Solow to make peace with the fact that such was the nature of the wrestling business.

What's next?

Aaron Solow will pursue his dreams in the world of independent wrestling, we believe. Who knows if he'll get a shot with WWE someday soon? It would be interesting to see what he brings to the table.

Author's take

I think Solow could take the Mr. Bayley gimmick and make a lot of money with it, in the independent circuit. Everyone's ripping off someone else in the independents, and we highly doubt Bayley would mind.

In any case, like Reby Hardy pointed out, it's probably a real non-issue.
